Is your pet being injected with harmful vaccines?
Many veterinarians will vaccinate animals with “adjuvanated” vaccines because they are cheap to buy. Wade Hampton Veterinary Clinic and PetCare Mobile uses ONLY vaccines that are adjuvant-free. What does that mean?
Vaccines work on the auto-immune system of the animal. Think of it like this: a person is affected by pollen in the air, so much so that they develop a hyper-sensitivity to pollen. Every time pollen enters their system, their auto-immune system goes into overdrive, and the body begins reacting to the pollen (thus, the sneezing and runny nose or worse). Now imagine that same reaction happening inside your pet. Adjuvanated vaccines have irritating additives in them, which can range from carbapol (liquid rubber) to aluminum hydroxide (liquid metal). When in your pet’s system, these can be irritants that can cause injection site reaction, injection site lumps or tumors, and chronic inflammation. Cheap vaccines have been known to produce the lumps and growths (tumors) at the injection site. Some veterinarians still choose to use them because they can purchase them cheaply. It is a business decision.
At Wade Hampton Veterinary Clinic, we use only non-adjuvanated vaccines. It is a health decision. It may cost a little bit more, but it is much safer for the animal. We offer Purevax, the only complete line of feline vaccines that does not require adjuvants (additives) Purevax is a modified-live and recombinant vaccine which gives the rapid, comprehensive immune response your pet needs. Why “live” instead of “killed” vaccines? Killed vaccines cannot stimulate lasting immunity without adjuvinants, which trigger the animal’s auto-immune system. Killed vaccines cannot deliver the strength of immunity of modified live and recombinant vaccines (recombinant means that the rabies protein, in this case Glycoprotein-G, is “re-combined” with a neutral delivery vehicle, such as the canary pox vector, so that it delivers only the proteins absolutely needed for protection).
We have chosen to take the high ground on patient care, giving BEST MEDICINE practice to your pet. Others may be less expensive. But are lumps or tumors worth “going cheap?” For the extra dollar or two, we provide the highest quality vaccines available on the market today. We always have. We always will.
You can go cheap, but why clutter up the immune system with unnecessary proteins and adjuvants? Why risk injection site trouble for your pet? Be confident that the vaccines injected into your pet’s body will actually help, not harm your pet.
