Are pet owners listening?

With so many common diseases being preventable, why aren’t they being prevented?

As firstline reports in the August issue, three of the top five diseases occurring in pets are easily preventable. So why aren’t they being prevented? According to a 2007 AVMA survey, some feel the treatment isn’t necessary, and others just don’t know why they don’t follow true.

It’s obvious that a lot of veterinarian teams ask owners to do things that they just can’t do. Some people are unable to give pills to their cats, or keep their dog from chewing a suture wound. Here at WHVC, we try to make sure that we don’t ask you to do anything that you’re uncomfortable with. If you don’t feel comfortable giving pills, we’ll make a liquid. If you are unable to keep your dog from chewing, we’ll find you a protective collar.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make the experience more comfortable for you and your pets.
